Hi! I’m Bean, your Smart Coffee Dealer! If we’ve never met, well it’s nice to meet you! If we are old (or new) friends, it’s nice to see you again! So if you don’t know me, you may be wondering what the name “Bean” is all about. And rightfully so! My real name is Sherry and my wonderful husband started calling me Bean years ago and it just stuck! Kinda as in the phrase, “know what I mean butterbean”. The “butter” was dropped and Bean is now pretty much what I answer to. If he calls me Sherry, I feel like I’m in really big trouble for something!
A little about me!
I grew up in a small Virginia town and moved to the Midwest when I married my Prince Charming, Rex, over 10 years ago. We settled in his hometown of Cape Girardeau, MO and split our time between Cape and St. Louis. I opened a photography studio in 2014 where I specialized in child portrait photography. I simply adore capturing children doing what makes them happy. I strive to create a setting that will instantly bring a smile to their sweet little faces. Teepee's, pedal cars, balloons, big fluffy dresses, cupcakes, music (Pandora always has their favorite!). My mission is to create joy for them. So much so that they forget they are having a professional photo shoot.
And then in 2017, an affiliate marketing opportunity presented itself. So there I was, in the midst of my busy season in photography and there was no way I had time to take on anything else. So I tried to politely decline the invitation, and my friend said… “but Sherry, it’s coffee”. Well, clearly that got my attention because I am a coffee addict (my nickname is Bean for crying out loud). I told my friend that I was so swamped with my photography that I really didn’t have time to take on anything new, but if nothing else, I would be a customer. Needless to say, after the first cup, my husband and I were hooked! It was incredible! We knew that if we loved it this much, then others would as well. So we went for it, well kinda… we were still a bit hesitant to put our name linked to a network marketing company. But this company seemed different. They were very new and their vision was to change the broken industry and get it back to a healthy, trustworthy state. Heck yeah! I’m all for that too! I hesitated to do anything but consume this goodness for the next 6 weeks, but then I decided that if I was going to do this, now was the time. January through March is my slow season in my photography business, so it was now or never. And that’s where it all began. Here I am a mere 8 months later and have sales every month in the 5 figure range. Who would have ever thought? Definitely not me! I never considered myself a salesperson or marketing expert, but when you find something you are passionate about, it’s amazing what you can do! Now my photography business has taken a back seat. I still do sessions every once and a while, but this business has become my bread and butter! It is giving me freedom. And not just in a financial arena, but time freedom! And for that, I will be forever grateful!
Our faith is extremely important to us and we strive to keep God as the center of our lives and not lose perspective of what is really important. When it's all said and done... well, I think Erma Bombeck said it perfectly…
"When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me'."
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
